To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the James Madison Council, Dever Designs was commissioned to create a unique limited edition commemorative volume. Produced in a hardbound edition of 125 pieces, the book was also adapted to a soft cover version for ongoing marketing use by the library. The real challenge was that the project started as over 20 boxes of photos, documents and memorabilia that had to be culled, organized, documented and turned into a personal keepsake for the council’s members. The results were a custom-crafted, hand-bound volume featuring embossed magnetic gatefold covers, secured with contrasting hand-tied ribbon, enclosed in a personalized presentation case. The final product serves as an admirable documentary of the council’s activities as international “ambassadors” of The Library of Congress.
